This site provides all the information needed to help you make the right decision and to select the best way to make your wishes about donating tissues or organs known.
By donating, you may save up to 8 lives and restore health to 15 other people!
Each consent counts. You can make a difference!
Donating organs and tissues upon your death is a gesture of generosity that may save the lives of several people and help others regain their health.
Organ transplants and tissue grafts are eloquent examples of medical success stories.
Each year, organ donations make it possible for more than 400 people on waiting lists in Québec to receive transplants. At the same time, tissue donations help thousands of others improve their health.
If you would like to donate organs or tissues, there are three ways of making your wishes known:
Discuss your wishes with your family and inform them about your decision.
Take the opportunity of National Organ Donor Week, from April 23 to 29, 2017 to talk to your coworkers, friends, and family. Whatever your decision, talking about it is important.
Upon your death, your next of kin will be asked if you consented to donating an organ or tissue. This person and the others with whom you have discussed your decision will be able to speak on your behalf.
Make sure that your wishes are honored.
