Signez don!

Informing your family

Discuss your wishes with your family. They must respect your wishes.

Upon your death, the medical team will ask your family about your wishes. If your family is aware of your intentions, they can act on your behalf. If you haven't expressed your wishes, then your family will have to make the decision. Some families oppose organ and tissue donation because they are unaware of the donor's wishes.

Broaching the subject

Various occasions can provide opportunities for raising the subject of organ and tissue donation with your family such as school projects, magazine articles, or a neighbor awaiting a transplant.
